Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of technical accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert guidance on accounting issues and financial reporting standards.
• Drive the technical accounting agenda, including the evaluation of new accounting standards and their impact on the organization.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members in their professional development.
• Prepare and present technical accounting analysis and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings related to technical accounting matters.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or advisory roles, preferably within a financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, with a proven track record in applying these standards in practice.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient in financial software and tools, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
